About News Decoder

News Decoder is a global educational news service for young people. We work with youth and educators around the world to teach journalistic and media literacy skills that broaden young people’s knowledge of global issues and make them better global citizens. Our educational services include global webinars, workshops, contests, quizzes, E-Learning courses and publication of multimedia content by experienced journalists and youth.

Founded in 2015, News Decoder has grown to include academic partnerships with 22 schools and universities in 17 countries, as well as media partnerships with UNESCO, Newsela and Podium.me. We are an integral partner to schools committed to fulfilling the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of global citizenship education. Our innovative educational services are designed to teach students how to think critically about global issues, challenge assumptions, separate fact from opinion, consider conflicting viewpoints, identify solutions and communicate clearly and impartially.

Our nonprofit is headquartered in Paris, France, but we operate a global platform and support remote work arrangements.
